Children from Operation Shamrock Exhibition Opening

On Thursday 16th March we were pleased to host the opening in Munich of the Children from Operation Shamrock exhibition, that was launched in 2015 at the Irish Embassy in Berlin.
Dr Susan Walsh, Dean of Globe Business College Munich, opened the evening with a welcome address. Dr. phil. h.c. mult. Erich Lejeune, from the Irish Consulate in Munich then gave a keynote speech, as did Dr. Horst Mahr, Chairman of the Gesellschaft für Aussenpolitik. We then heard from journalist Monica Brandis, the inspiration behind the exhibition, who also interviewed Dr. Hans Peter Boden, one of the Operation Shamrock children featured in the exhibition.
The evening was moving, informative, and enjoyable, and it was a pleasure to welcome such a diverse audience to Globe College. We were especially honoured to meet some of the children featured in the exhibition, and hear about their personal stories.
