The Bridging Programme is designed for students who would like to gain a Bachelor degree but do not have the necessary entry requirements for traditional degree programmes.
One or two terms are undertaken depending on what students have achieved in school and the number of additional credits they need to meet the entry requirements to the degree. Where one term is required, 5 subjects are undertaken. Where two semesters are necessary, 8 subjects are completed, leading to the award of a Higher National Certificate qualification.
Each of the above subjects is taught in a series of interactive seminars led by experienced lecturers who are experts in their chosen academic field and who have extensive professional experience. In small classes, of maximum 15–20 students, students work on case studies, examine real company profiles, and learn how to apply academic theories to real-life business scenarios.
Customised programmes are available for students who have specific requirements. Please contact us directly for details.
- The one-term programme can be used to top up grades achieved on Abitur or IB (or similar qualifications), where the student does not meet the entry requirements to our degree (namely 30 points on the IB or equivalent)
- The two-term (one year) HNC programme, can be used to top up other qualifications (please contact us for further details)
- Evidence of English language ability may be required
- Assessment interview or participation in a Golden Ticket Weekend workshop
Accreditation & Progression
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is on the national qualifications framework in England. After successful completion of one semester of the HNC (5 courses), students can, where agreed, gain entry to the Bachelor (Hons) in Business degree offered at Globe Business College Munich, or choose to apply to join degree programmes in the UK. On successful completion of two semesters (8 courses), students are awarded a Higher National Certificate (HNC), which may also be used to gain entry to the Bachelor at Globe College or at Universities around the world.
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a BTEC Edexcel qualification that is accredited by Pearson. Pearson is the UK’s largest awarding body and is regulated by Ofqual (England), SQA Accreditation (Scotland), CCEA Accreditation (Northern Ireland) and Qualifications Wales (Wales). They offer academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognised and benchmarked, with educational excellence rooted in names like Edexcel, BTEC, EDI and LCCI. Their vocational qualifications include Edexcel NVQ and BTEC from entry level to Higher National Diplomas. The HNC is not recognised in Germany, but can be used for degree programmes in England and further afield. Please contact us for a list of Universities that recognise this programme.
The fee for the Bachelor Degree Bridging programme is 10,000 Euros per semester. Semesters run from September to January, February to May, and June to July (depending on numbers). A one-off application fee of 450 Euros is also applicable.
A Commitment Fee of 2,000 EUR is paid upon acceptance to programme (4,000 Euros for acceptance to HNC for two terms). This amount is deducted from the cost of the programme at the beginning of each term taken.
