What is the legal basis for processing the data?

The College applies the legal bases set out in Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation whenever processing your personal information. We will only collect or use your data where we have either your clear consent to do so (GDPR art.6.1.a), where it is required to perform or initiate a contract with you (GDPR art.6.1.b), or where the processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and not in conflict with your existing rights (GDPR art.6.1.f).

When do we share personal data?

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to manage our email marketing subscriber lists, deliver our newsletter, and record statistical data concerning email openings and links clicked user responses. If you have opted into receiving marketing information from Globe Business College Munich then personal information such as your name, email address and telephone number may be transmitted and stored on a Mailchimp server in the US. MailChimp is committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and neither Mailchimp nor the College rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

Our website uses technology by YouTube LLC (‘YouTube’) to embed videos from our official YouTube channel directly onto our site pages. All videos are served with YouTube’s “privacy enhanced mode” enabled, and will only set cookies on your device once you click to activate a page’s video player and a connection with YouTube’s servers is established. These cookies record usage and performance statistics, and may also associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile if you are simultaneously logged in to your YouTube/Google account.

Facebook

We occasionally use Facebook Inc. (‘Facebook’) Custom Audience pixels in order to record information about the way visitors interact with our website and Facebook presence. Once a user has given their consent, the Facebook pixel enables us to track their behaviour after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This process allows us to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and helps optimize future advertising campaigns. The College makes use of Twitter Inc (‘Twitter’) Conversion Tracking Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Twitter for statistical and market research purposes. When a user visits our website(s) via one of our promoted posts or ads on Twitter, conversion tracking allows us to identify the specific advert involved and to track that user’s subsequent behaviour on our website. How long will the data be stored for?
