Industrial Visit to Dublin 2013

November 19th, 2014

As part of Globe Business College’s industrial visit to Dublin, on November 13th our group of students and faculty visited Ireland’s premier recording, film, television, digital and audio post production services company. Windmill Lane Recording Studios has been at the heart of the Irish recording industry since 1978. Marketing Director Ian Brady gave us a talk and took us on a tour of the facilities, followed by a lively and exciting presentation by two of the studio’s sound engineers.

In the afternoon, Globe Business College students had the opportunity to visit the premises of William Fry Tax Advisors. William Fry is Ireland’s corporate law firm of choice. They are one of the largest and firmly established firms with clients including many of the leading global and domestic companies operating in Ireland, Irish government bodies, financial institutions and entrepreneurs.

Mr Martin Phelan, Partner at William Fry, welcomed our students and gave us a talk about the firm. Mr Phelan has over 20 years’ experience in advising on international tax, is one of only six Irish tax professionals to be consistently ranked in the world’s top 250 tax professionals. He is also a Council member and former President of the Irish Taxation Institute.
