Tánaiste Simon Coveney to speak at 70th anniversary celebration of the Foreign Affairs Association on 12th June, in partnership with Globe Business College Munich

On the heels of the launch of the report “Ireland and Germany: a Wider and Deeper Footprint”, issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs in April, Tánaiste Simon Coveney will appear as guest speaker on 12th June at the 70th anniversary of Germany’s Foreign Affairs Association (Gesellschaft für Aussenpolitik), based in Munich. As its partner, Globe Business College Munich joins the Foreign Affairs Association in inviting the Tánaiste to speak on Ireland’s special relationship with Germany, past and future.

Regarding his appearance, the Tánaiste says: “I look forward in June to making my first visit to both Munich and Berlin as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade. In conjunction with Globe Business College Munich, it is a particular honour to have been invited on the 12th June to address the Munich Foreign Affairs Association on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the association. Over the past 70 years, the Foreign Affairs Association have made a distinctive and valuable contribution to international understanding, which this occasion will help celebrate.”

Dr. Susan Walsh, dean and founder of Globe Business College Munich, states: “Through our relationship with the Foreign Affairs Association, we were fortunate to be able to facilitate the invitation of the Tánaiste to this auspicious event. We are delighted to welcome him on his first trip to Munich in his current role.”
