Visit from the Bavarian International School

October 16th, 2011

On the 11th of October, Globe College hosted 12th grade students from the Bavarian International School for their annual “Experience College for a Day” event. These sessions are run regularly at GBCM to provide students from both German and international schools with an insight into third level study and the application of business theory in practice.

The day kicked off with a two hour interactive lecture from Dr Walsh, where students were taught the fundamentals of marketing and then required to apply the theory learnt to a case study. Following this, GBCM hosted lunch in the beautiful garden of the Augustiner Keller, which is located near the college.

In the afternoon, both BIS and GBCM students visited Ernst and Young where they had a very insightful and interesting presentation by one of the partners, Gert von Borries. In addition to providing an overview of the key services that Ernst and Young provide, Mr von Borries also outlined possible career paths for the students with his organisation.

A great day was had by all, and we look forward to our ongoing collaboration with all our international schools.
