Date with the Dean: The Interview Series

Dr Walsh will talk with Norah Casey, an Irish businesswoman, magazine mogul, television personality and broadcaster from Dublin, Ireland. Norah has a reputation for being a dragon (the rarer female variety) from the popular British TV programme “Dragon’s Den”. You might also know her as a magazine publisher (owner and Chairwoman of Harmonia) and in more recent years as a television presenter, radio broadcaster and author (her book: Spark!). But she is also a widow, a single mum, a former nurse and a passionate advocate for social change towards that elusive dream of equality. She likes to kickstart badly needed conversations through her writing or broadcasting whether it is in the area of racial prejudice, homelessness, women’s rights or dying with dignity. She also believes in the power of enterprise and entrepreneurship.

Join us for a fun, informative session and hear about Norah’s incredible life story and entrepreneurial journey to date as well as get some tips from her experience as an investor, especially if you are looking at starting your business or working on your start-up. The interview will take place on Tuesday, 19th May from 5.30pm to 6.15pm on Zoom!

We will be sending you a link to Zoom platform (please see: https://zoom.us) before the meeting so you can dial in and join without any issues. You are required to have an internet connection, and a phone or laptop to be able to connect with video and audio.
