Date with the Dean: The Interview Series

Dr Walsh will talk with Arlan Hamilton, Founder and Managing Partner of Backstage Capital. She built a venture capital fund from the ground up, while homeless. The fund started in 2015, and is dedicated to minimizing funding disparities in tech by investing in high-potential founders who are people of colour, women, and/or LGBT. In 2018 Arlan co-founded Backstage Studio which launched four accelerator programs for underestimated founders in Detroit, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and London.

Join us for a fun, informative session and hear about Arlan’s incredible life story and entrepreneurial journey to date as well as get some tips from her new book. The interview will take place on Tuesday, 21st April, from 6.00pm – 6.30pm on Zoom.
