Guest Lecture: Mary McKenna

Globe College third year students had the unique opportunity to present as part of their Business Plan course, their business ideas to Ms Mary McKenna, tech entrepreneur and angel investor from Ireland.

Ms McKenna is interested in helping start and grow indigenous Irish and British tech companies, particularly working with young and female entrepreneurs. She is one of Said Business School’s (University of Oxford) Resident Experts, an Entrepreneur in Residence at Catalyst Inc (formerly the Northern Ireland Science Park) and a trustee of CAST (the Centre for Acceleration of Social Technology). Ms McKenna is also a trustee of the London based charities vInspired and the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). She is on the London board of the Irish International Business Network and is a proud member of the Global Irish Network. In the 2014 New Year’s Honours she was awarded the MBE by Her Majesty the Queen for services to digital technology, innovation and learning.
