Industrial Visit to Merck Fink & Co, Privatbankiers

On April 29th, 2013 Globe College students and faculty visited the private investment bank Merck Finck & Co for a fascinating lecture by one of the bank’s General Partners, Mr. Georg Freiherr von Boeselager.

As a broad-based asset manager Merck Finck & Co offers upscale retail banking solutions for all the financial needs of its customers. With more than 20 locations in Germany and around 130 consultants, Merck Finck is one of the leading private banks in Germany.

After discussing the history of the bank, Freiherr von Boeselager discussed topics such as regulation, the financial crisis and growth strategies in the private banking industry.

He concluded his presentation with an overview of careers in private banking and outlined his own career progression in the banking world.
