Last week, the students and faculty of Globe Business College had the pleasure of visiting Schedl Automotive System Service GmbH‘s new location in Leipzig, Germany . The students were given a tour of the plant and offices before enjoying a presentation from Mr Schedl. One of the things the students enjoyed learning about was the “just in time” (JIT) production method that Schedl Automotive uses. The students had lots of opportunities to ask questions to Mr Schedl and his team, which made this is a really interactive visit.
On the second day of their trip, the students visited Colditz Castle which has been used as a workhouse and a mental institution in the past but is now most famous for being the most impenetrable prisoner-of-war camp during WWII. This added a cultural element to the trip and was thoroughly enjoyed by students and faculty alike.
We would like to thank Mr Schedl for his hospitality and for making this industrial trip to Leipzig possible.
