Guest Lecture: Dr. Herbert Wettig, Compagnon Marktforschungsinstitut GmbH

November 9th, 2012

Dr. Herbert Wettig, founder of the Compagnon Marktforschungsinstitut GmbH in Stuttgart and consultant to many well-known international organisations provided the students with an interesting and informative lecture on the development of German business landscape from the 1950’s until today.

Dr. Wettig was a very innovative individual always on the lookout for new possibilities to help his clients. Long before eye tracking was known, Dr. Wettig invented and patented one of the first instruments to allow the reading behaviour and view registration of buyers to be tested. Further research led for example, to the development of approaches to assess television watching behaviour. His experience in psychological market research and the fitting anecdotes and examples from his past provided the students with an interesting and exciting view of the changes that have taken place during his lifetime. Today, Dr. Wettig is active as a moderator and supports family owned companies in the succession regulation of their organisations.

Both the students and faculty would like to thank Dr.Wettig for his interesting and informative lecture.
