VA APPROVAL

GBCM is an approved institution of the US Department of Veterans Affairs. This means that eligible members of the American armed forces (and their relatives) can use their educational benefits to undertake undergraduate studies at Globe College.

Veterans Advising Office at GBCM

The GBCM Veteran's Advisor Office assists veterans, reservists, dependents and VA chapter 31 students with eligibility questions regarding the use of VA educational benefits for studying at Globe College. In addition, our office serves as a liaison between Globe Business College and the American Department of Veteran's Affairs.

Activating Benefits

A representative is available to assist veterans and activate all veterans' educational benefits. A complete description of the educational benefits available to veterans (and their dependents, if applicable) can be obtained through the Department of Veterans Affairs website at www.gibill.va.gov.

When initially applying for educational benefits, it is necessary to provide a certified copy of the veteran's DD-214 member 4 copy to the Veterans' Office.

Educational benefits are also available to eligible members of the National Guard or Selected Reserves who currently have a commitment of 6 years (or greater). A notice of Basic Eligibility (or NOBE) needs to be requested from your unit and brought to the Veterans' Advisors Office to start the application process. If you have any eligibility questions, call a local Reserve or National Guard Unit or call the VA toll free at (800) 827-1000.

Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance Forms need to be signed by all parties and given to the Veterans' Advisor before the beginning of the Term.

Military Withdrawal

Please contact our office if you are called for duty during a quarter in which you are taking classes. You will need to present your orders to our office so we can assist you with the military withdrawal process.
