Students who complete year one of the programme are awarded with a Certificate in Business Communication while those who go on to finish year two graduate with a Higher National Certificate in Business Studies. Both these qualifications are accredited by Edexcel (www.edexcel.org.uk) which is the UK's largest awarding body, providing qualifications in more than 550 further education colleges and higher education institutes in England. The company is responsible for qualifications ranging from A Levels right through to foundation degrees. Outside of England, Edexcel operates in over 100 countries in the world, from Australia to Zimbabwe, with over 400,000 students receiving BTEC qualifications each year.
Students on the two year programme have the option of studying at the University of California (Riverside) from June to Dec in their second year (and are awarded credits from there). UCR is one of 10 universities within the prestigious University of California system.
